Can a U.S. citizen apply for and use a neteller ATM card now or no?

I have a feeling that Neteller won't be able to pay back. The two week timeframe will expire next Tuesday and I just don't see them making any moves to pay anyone back whether by choice or not.

BOS said 90 days and nobody ever sawr a penny from them either for whatever reason.

I'm thinking that if I can apply and be approved for a Neteller ATM card, that I could put a cancel on my pending EFT and get the funds out from the ATM card while that option is still available.

Is it now to late to apply for one and use it to get the funds the hell out of there?

I would probably place a bet saying Neteller will not pay out the EFT's by next Tuesday as stated and was wondering if this method would work before its too late?

Its probably not even Netellers fault, but more of processors and such and either way, if they dont have the funds to payout, we all get stiffed and thats all that matters in the end no matters who fault it is.

I can't speak with qualification as to when funds will be paid - but I don't see any reason why neteller would not pay all outstanding amounts etc. They are not a book and considering the small staff, made a ton off fees etc. They've also established themselves quite nicely in Asia and other areas.

My take - they'll pay.

No. We have temporarily suspended the ability for US residents to create a NETELLER e-wallet account.

I could withdraw the funds at the ATM and send them to you via western Union

now me personally I would do this if the amt wasent like some huge amt

just to get my money out

as a canadain, I have received two cheques from neteller ( not yet cleared). I am still using them to move money around but it is getting more difficult as more and more books say they are no longer paying out to neteller. I
For what it is worth, when money is caught in transit it usually take about two/three weeks to return the funds to the sender (Based on my personal experiences with U.S.s banks).

I beleive that NT will pay because it will still make money on the remaing 35% of its remaing business.

Don't know if it is too late to apply for ATM card. Why not just try clicking the ATM card link to see what happens? You don't need to fill out anything.

I don't think Neteller will not pay US customers, unless it does not want international customers as well. That is the difference between Neteller/Pinny and BOS.

i just talked to CS and they said they would be sending me a new one in 2 weeks....

called them up after the fact...the nice CS rep told me that it can be re-opened within 3 yrs If things change in regards to neteller and the US

I applied for the card last week, said it would take 3 weeks. I'm hoping that my EFT's go through before I get the card OR when I get the card I'll cancel the pending EFT's and take the cash out with the neteller card.

I'm pretty sure you can't cancel pending EFTs, but I'm thinking that by the time the card gets to me, if they don't have any processors available, they may start cancelling the EFTs so people can withdraw via check. If that's the case, then I hope to be able to use the debit card to cash out my money!
